HGANJ Meetings - General Information
HGANJ holds three meetings per year in January, May and September on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at Saint Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. An agenda for each meeting is e-mailed to members of HGANJ prior to each meeting and posted on the main page of this website. A general timeline for these meetings is as follows:
10:00 am - Executive Committee meeting
11:15 am - Concurrent committee meetings (Education, Legislative, Website, Clinical Practice)
12:15 pm - Lunch (provided)
1:00 pm - General membership meeting
2:00 pm - Lecture
3:15 pm - Case presentation
4:00 pm - Adjournment
Continuing education units (CEU's) for genetic counselors are available for most meetings for a fee ($25 for members, additional $20 administrative fee for non-members). Please contact us with questions regarding CEU's.
The meetings are usually held in the Medical Office Building (MOB) conference rooms 4 & 5 (located in the main lobby across from the gift shop and behind the information desk). Driving directions to SPUH.

Annual membership dues are $40.00, payable by check to "HGANJ," and are collected by the current Treasurer every January.

Guidelines for use of HGANJ membership contact information
Accepted September 2007. These guidelines shall apply to all HGANJ member information on file (including lists of names, mailing addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses) and e-mail messages forwarded to the entire membership:
HGANJ membership contact information will not be released to a non-member without the permission of said member(s). This information, in the form of either a list or mailing labels, will not be sold to any outside organization.
HGANJ membership contact information should not be utilized for personal / non-professional issues unless previously agreed upon by all parties involved.
Commercial for-profit advertisements should not be forwarded to members via mass e-mail.
Announcements of clinical or research genetic services relevant to clinical practice within NJ may be forwarded to members via mass e-mail.
Job opening announcements can be forwarded to members via mass e-mail free of charge if submitted by an active member (current year dues paid); there will be a $50 charge otherwise.
